Note: John F. Turnbull founded the Turnbull Clan Association (TCA) in 1977.  John was a grocer and whisky blender for the family business, Turnbull Grocery and Wine Shop located at 51 High Street, Hawick, Scotland.  After John’s death in 1982, his wife Myra kept TCA going.  She became the first woman provost of Hawick and was awarded the title of MBE (Member of the British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth II.  She is the first recipient of the John F. Turnbull Lifetime Achievement Award.
