April 6 is
Tartan Day
The Declaration of
Arbroath, the Scottish Declaration of Independence was signed on April
6, 1320. In the US, over 20 million people claim Scottish descent. And
so in 1998 the United States joined Canada and Scotland in celebrating a
National Tartan Day.
“Whereas these
numerous individuals, clans, societies... do not let the great
contributions of the Scottish people go unnoticed: Now, therefore, be
it resolved, that the Senate designates April 6 of each year as
“National Tartan Day.”

Dear Cousins and Friends,
I decided to plan ahead and prepare
some information when I got my last call and will be happy to rest.
This is to let you know that I went
“out the Back Door” on March 12, 2005. I had a great ride and lived
every minute of it.
I leave my faith and love to all!

support of the activities at Eastport United Methodist Church,
especially the annual peach festival where her pickled beets were in
great demand and she served as chairman of the event. |
