- [S2107] Iver Ørstavik, "E-Mail from Iver Ørstavik," e-mail message from email address (Norway) to Brian Turnbull, 2016 - 2017, I thought you might enjoy a photo of a portrait passed down in our family, of our ancestor the wool merchant and City Chamberlain of Edinburgh, John Turnbull (1775-1838), forefather of the Norwegian branch. The portrait hangs in the apartment of my mother, Sidsel Melhuus Ørstavik (Turnbull-Hutchinson-Melhuus line). The portrait is not signed, unfortunately, but obviously painted by a professional. We are now all blonde and blue-eyed, Im afraid. But the wavy hair, the impressive eyebrows and nose, survives to this day in my cousin Morten Melhuus, b. 1966 (and married to a Scot). Hereinafter cited as "E-Mail - Iver Ørstavik."
