| Anecdote | , in New South Wales, Australia, in 1897 On Tuesday Morning last, the infant son of Mr J.A. Faulks, public school teacher, met with a painful accident through his clothes catching on fire. It appears that Mrs Faulks had occasion to leave the room in which the child _two years of age_ was playing, and in a few seconds heard him screaming. On her return she found his clothes on fire, he having crawled to the fire. The child was burned about the body and face, and we are pleased to state that the little sufferer is recovering from his painful and serious accident.7 |
