John Bragg was a foremen flour miller from Boltongate near Aspatria, Cumberland, and Hannah from Gosforth, south of Whitehaven7. In 1881 Joseph Bragg, aged 19 years, was working at 4 Portland Square, Workington as an inn servant (boots)4. In 1891 Joe, Dinah and children Annie Eliza (b. Seaton 1885) and John (b. Seaton 1887) were living at 89 Griffin Street, Workington. Joe was a general labourer5. In 1901 they were living at 6 Ashton Street, Workington and Joe was a railway carter. Living with them were Annie, working as a domestic servant, and John, a telegraph messenger3.1 |
