( the Coromandel sailed in Jan. 1802, but their application to emigrate had been requested the previous January 1801 ** Marie's notes.)Circumstantial but It suggests that John was looking after the welfare of his two daughters before leaving. More out of curiosity I checked for Catherine; Sure enough at the age of 16, she married John Nightingale, also at St. Ann's Soho, on 1st Sept 1801. ( the Coromandel sailed in Jan. 1802, but their application to emigrate had been requested the previous January 1801 ** Marie's notes.)Circumstantial but It suggests that John was looking after the welfare of his two daughters before leaving.
