His Obituary was published. Mary Gertrude Coalmer Trimble, a life-long resident of Montgomery Twp., passed away at the age of 82 on March 27, 1949 in the Indiana Hospital.
Gertrude was born Jan. 18, 1867. She was married October 5, 1885 to Thomas Trimble, who preceded her in death in May 16, 1932. To that union, 14 children were born. Two died when very young and 12 are still living as follow: James of Morrisdale, Mrs. Margaret Smith, Erie, Mrs. Viola Garvin of McIntyre, Howard Trimble of Wilgus, Boyd of Indian Head, George of Mentcle, Mrs. Olive Routch of Hastings, Mrs. Jessie Conner of Hillsdale, Mrs. Dessie Garvin of Homer City, Samuel of Gipsy, Elmer of Glen Campbell and Mrs. Bertha Bennett of Wilgus. There are 63 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Trimble was a charter member of the Wilgus Wesleyan Methodist Church where funeral service took place. Interment was in Thompson Cemetery.
She was adopted at an early age by William and Catherine (Hoffman) Coalmer. Prior to her adoption, her surname was Smith.²
