Most of the Lambert information is probably what Rollie has --- although I'm
reading that you don't have Mary's siblings so I'll try to send you some of
that.
I remember visiting the Bulls around Temple, Oklahoma in the mid or late
1950s. Alf, Joe and Little Dick, who was blind, were still living. They
had a picture of a house in Missouri, which was a center of attention the
afternoon we were there. Then a couple of years later their house burned
and Daddy did grieve so over the picture that was lost in the fire. It was
an enormous group of Lamberts. Daddy loved to tell stories about Little
Dick and his abilities that he had developed due, I guess, to his blindness.
I believe that my Daddy, b 1892, lived with the Bulls for several years
around 1914 and did 'cowboy' work for them. He loved that family, and loved
to tell over and over that Little Dick could tell the color of a horse by
feeling of its hair. He was supposedly a great judge of horse-flesh.
And then, Alfred Bull had a daughter named Hazel who married Walter Holt
from Hinton, (I was born and raised around Hinton) so through the years my
family has probably communicated with Hazel more than any of the rest. I'm
thinking that Walter died some years ago and was brought back to Hinton to
be buried, but I'm not sure about that. It could have been Hazel I'm
thinking about. I live in Yukon, Oklahoma, but have lived most of my
adulthood in places farther away from Oklahoma, so I haven't kept up with
all, and what little I do know about tends to be confused at times. Do you
know if Hazel is still living?
So, I feel that the Bulls are very close. Where do you fit in?
Not long ago I got a new cpr, and copied my genealogy files onto ged.coms.
I'm trying to export a gedcom to you of what I have so far on the Lambert
side; it may not be complete--I'm not sure at this point. Let me know if it
works, and if it appears to be somewhat complete---or if you can't use a
gedcom we'll do something else.
