MISS TURNBULL OF MONMOUTH WED IN CHICAGO
University Graduate Student Becomes Bride of W. K. Eldridge in Chapel. Monmouth, Dec. (Argus News Service) -
Miss Maxine Turnbull of Chicago, only daughter a of Mr. and Mrs. Max Turnbull of W. Eldridge, only Mr. and Monmouth, was married, to Keith Mrs. George Eldridge of Naperville, at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Thorndyke Hilton memorial chapel on the University ol Chicago campus.
The Rev. Mr. Hallas, pastor of, the Naperville Evangelical church, officiated. Only members of the immediate families and a few close friends were present. A reception was held following the ceremony in the church cloister.
This was a candlelight service. Tall candelabra and baskets of white chrysanthemums were used in altar appointments. Miss Frances Diifenbaugh of Monmouth, cousin of the bride, served as maid. honor, and William Schmus of Naperville was best man. The bride wore a smoky blue costume suit witth which she wore a fur jacket.
Her accessories were gray. She wore orchids. Miss Diffenbaugh wore a gowu of gray silk with matching accessories. Her flowers were turk'scap lilies and orchids. The bride attended Monmouth schools and Monmouth college.
She was affiliated with the Pi Beta. Phi sorority. She later studied at the University of Iowa and was graduated from the University of Rochester, N. Y. She is now studying at the University of Chicago. Mr. Eldridge was graduated from the University of Illinois in 1935 and is now employed as private secretary to W. H. Miller, vice president of the City National Bank and Trust company in Chicago.
They will make their home in Riverside, Ill. Attending the wedding from Monmouth were Mr. and Mrs. Max Ew Turnbull, Mrs. Ada Turnbull, Mr. and Mrs. David, Mr. and Mrs. John S. Diffenbaugh, Miss Mary Frances Diffenbaugh and John D. Diffenbaugh:
