The connection between Jane and Patrick is quite speculative and is based on an autosomal dna match between Diane Wisden nee Wynn, a descendant of Jane, and Lannes Ray Vick, a descendant of Eleanor, as well a georgaphical connection.  The match on Chromosome 7 indicates approximate 4th or 5th cousin relationship.  Given the difference in ages between Jane and Eleanor I am wondering if Jane's grandfather George was a brother of Patrick, although other relationships are possible. 

Sprouston is on the border with Northumberland, England not far from Eleanor's reported birth place.  David immigrated to Stanley, New Brunswick, Canada about the time Eleanor with her husband William Grieve immigrated to Harvey, New Brunswick, Canada.  Stanley and Harvey were sort of sister settlements created as a result of recruiting of settlers by the New Brunswick Land Company in Roxburgshire and Northumberland.

If David and Patrick were brothers then Diane and I would be 6th cousins.
