of Phoenix, AZ passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 from cardiac arrest. She was born Vinita Josephine Apedaile to William Apedaile and Zelma Housekeeper, in Plymouth, CA on February 25, 1938. She grew up and attended schools in the Sandpoint, ID area. She married Lester Turnbull, of Sandpoint, ID, in 1957 and together they had three children, Steven, Teresa and Michael. They later divorced. She married Jeff Johnson in Sedalia, MO, in 1981 and they enjoyed living in many areas while he was with Boeing, each place where she made a lovely home for them. They retired to Phoenix in 1999. She made many friends in the various places she lived. She loved time spent with her family and had many interests in life...crafts, cooking, bowling, fishing, water aerobics and playing Bunco with friends in Phoenix. Vinita was preceded in death by her son Steven in 1984, her parents and various other relatives. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Johnson, at the family home in Phoenix; her daughter, Teresa (David) Espinoza of Charlotte Hall, MD; son Michael (Junko) Turnbull and Grandson Christopher of Sandpoint, ID; two stepsons, Jason and Troy Johnson of Utah. A memorial service will be held at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary in Scottsdale, AZ on August 4 at 12:00 and
a second service will be held at a later date, to be announced, in Sandpoint, ID. Any donations in Vinita's honor and memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice
