William Yates was Born on 23 NOV 1845 in Wilberforce and Baptised on 29 MAR 1846 by T.C. Ewing at St. John’s Church of England, Wilberforce. I don’t have access to the original parish register as yet, so as to obtain a copy. This information was found on Hawksbury on the Net Church Registers St Johns Baptism Register 1845-1854 and was transcribed by Kristine Wood December 2005. I have copied and pasted the information as follows: 136 YATES William Joseph & Mary Ann 23 Nov 1845 29 Mar 1846 Wilberforce Farmer T C Ewing http://www.hawkesbury.net.au/church/baptisms/sjba1845.html Furthermore, William Yates married Sarah Walker, daughter of Henry Walker and Mary Ann Jurd, on 4 MAY 1873 at St. John the Evangelist Church of England, Wollombi, service by Bowyer E. Shaw. I have attached the relevant parish register images obtained from the University of Newcastle. Sarah died in 1882.
