Obituary

His Obituary was published, on Find a Grave. Ross M. Trimble was born in Aug 7, 1866 in Liberty Warren, IA. Parent: Enoch and Esther V Hettie Condit Trimble. March 27, 1888 he married Inez Thompson. They farmed and he taught school for a few years; them moved to New Virginia, IA where he established a hardware business.

In 1898 he moved with his family to Bottineau Co, ND. and filed a homestead in Richburg Township. ND. This is the farm that was later purchased by his grand-daughter Ruth Trimble Rosendahl and her husband Lawrence. After he discontinued farming he and his son Vier built a retail and bulk oil station; which they ran until it was sold to Farmers Union. Ross won great recognition as a breeder of Poland-China hogs and shorthorn cattle. He was very community minded; he served on the school board, was a county commissioner, director of People's State Band, and was instrumental in establishing the Presbyterian Church in Westhope.
