Anecdote

William was born in County Antrim, Ireland, and arrived in America in June, 1719, with several of his brothers. He married Ann Palmer 13 Sep 1734 in Chester County, PA. They had seven children. Ann died in 1755, and William remarried to Phoebe Thomas. There was no issue of the 2d marriage.
A descendant, Lewis Palmer, researched the Palmer and Trimble lines extensively, and published his findings in 1910: "A Genealogical Record of the Descendants of John and Mary Palmer of Concord, Chester (now Delaware) County, Pennsylvania".²

Both were interested in marrying Quaker daughters of John and Mary Palmer. Indeed James married Mary Palmer on the 3rd day of 9 mo 1735 in the Quaker calendar. William married Ann Palmer, sister of Mary. William is buried in the Concord Friends burial ground.

James became a prominent citizen of West Bradford Twp. where he and Mary raised a family of seven children.
