| Note | Maggie Maud Young. OBITUARY ... MRS MAUDE OLIVER - The death occured of Mrs maude Oliver of 'Allandale' Elphinstone, on September 9. She had spent the whole of her married live in this district. Born in Adelaide, her maiden name was Young. She was the widow of the late Robert Turnbull Olvier, and is survived by her daughter, Lola (Mrs K McNiece) and son Ringen. Before her marriage, Mrs Oliver was a music teracher and a skilled tennis player. She was Church Organiste at the Taradale Church of England, and the Netcalfe Presbyterian Church. Keenly interested in district activities, she was Vice-president of Sutton Grange C.W.A. and was a Life Governor of the Blind Auxillary. Her funeral, which was of a private nature took place on September 11 and move from 'Allendale' Elphinstone where the Rev A M Hilliard of the Castlemaine Presbyterian Church conducted the service, and also the burial service at the Elphinstone Cemetery. Castket bearers were Messrs A Dunstan, K McNiece, J O Mactier and R D Mactier. Included in the floral tributes were wreaths from the Elphinstone Recreation Reserve and the Metcalfe Presbyterian Church. |
