David Trumbull (1751-1822) — of Connecticut was born in 1751. His father was Governor John Trumbull of Connecticut and his mother was Faith Robinson. He married Sarah Backus on 6 December 1778, in Lebanon, New London, Connecticut, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 2 daughters.
David Trumbull served with Civil Service, Connecticut during the American Revolution.
Due to family business failure in David's early life, he was unable to attend Harvard like his brothers. He instead attended the school of Nathan Tisdall, of Lebanon. As his father's Governor duties increased, David served as his father's right hand man.
He died on 17 January 1822, in Lebanon, Windham, Connecticut, United States, at the age of 70, and was buried in Lebanon, New London, Connecticut, United States.
