Grace H. Turnbull

Grace Turnbull was a renowned regional artist whose media included oil and water color, wood sculpture, and marble sculpture. She never attended college but was educated privately at home. During World War I, she was a volunteer ambulance driver for the US Red Cross. Her work has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, N.Y. City; and The Baltimore Museum of Art. She never married.
